These Terms & Conditions govern your use of sepiajade.com and the content made available through it.

Sepia Jade is the public-facing brand operated as a DBA of Jen Galloway MISM LLC. In these terms, “Sepia Jade,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that business. By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Using this website

You may browse and use this website for lawful, personal purposes. You may not attempt to interfere with the site, gain unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, scrape the site in a way that burdens its systems, or use the site to violate another person’s rights.

2. Ownership of the site and its content

Unless otherwise stated, Sepia Jade owns or licenses the text, illustrations, designs, graphics, photographs, downloads, branding, and other content on this website. Copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws protect that material.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, sublicense, publicly display, or create derivative works from site content unless applicable law permits it or you have written permission from Sepia Jade.

3. Research, interpretation, and creative content

Sepia Jade creates research-led books and digital collections. Historical, archaeological, and cultural information is prepared with care, but knowledge can change and reasonable interpretations can differ. Site content is provided for general informational and creative purposes, not as professional, legal, financial, medical, engineering, or safety advice.

Illustrations may be interpretive visualizations inspired by research. They are not photographic documentation and should not be treated as exact reconstructions unless a page expressly says otherwise.

4. Books and products sold by other platforms

Some links take you to independent services such as Amazon, Google Books, or Etsy. Purchases made there are transactions with that platform or seller of record and are governed by its checkout, payment, delivery, refund, privacy, and account terms. Sepia Jade does not control those external services.

If you need help with the content of a Sepia Jade book or collection, contact us. For a payment, account, delivery, or platform refund issue, the platform that processed the order is usually the fastest first contact.

5. Direct website purchases

Direct checkout is not currently enabled on sepiajade.com. Before direct sales begin, the applicable price, payment process, delivery method, refund policy, and product license will be presented or linked before purchase. Product-specific terms shown at checkout will control if they differ from these general terms.

6. Digital products and licenses

A digital purchase gives you a license to use the file; it does not transfer ownership of the artwork, text, or other intellectual property. The license supplied with each product controls. Unless a product expressly includes broader rights, the default license is personal, noncommercial, nonexclusive, and nontransferable.

One consumer unit

The default license is granted to one consumer unit: the individual purchaser and the people who live in the purchaser’s household. Members of that consumer unit may use the digital product for their own personal, noncommercial purposes. The digital file may not be shared with friends, relatives outside the household, organizations, clients, customers, online groups, or any other person or entity.

Digital books and bonus materials

The purchaser may store and read a digital book or bonus file on devices used by the consumer unit. The file may not be posted, forwarded, copied for people outside the consumer unit, placed in a shared library, or made available through a publicly or privately shared download link.

Printable artwork

The consumer unit may make physical prints for personal display and may give physical prints as genuinely noncommercial gifts. The digital file itself may not be included with the gift or provided to the recipient. A professional printing service may receive the file only as needed to produce prints for the purchaser and receives no license to retain, reuse, display, distribute, or sell the work.

A physical print may not be sold, offered for sale, traded, licensed, bundled with a paid product or service, used as a commercial promotion, or otherwise exchanged for money or value—even if it was originally created or received as a gift.

Prohibited uses

Without written permission or a separate license that expressly allows it, you may not resell, redistribute, share, upload for access by others, sublicense, or make the original digital file available outside the consumer unit; use the work for merchandise, print-on-demand products, stock libraries, templates, logos, trademarks, or NFTs; claim the work as your own; or use it to build a dataset or train an artificial-intelligence system.

7. Messages and submissions

If you contact Sepia Jade, you confirm that you have the right to send the material in your message. Please do not send confidential ideas, passwords, full payment-card numbers, or other sensitive information by email. We may use your message to respond, provide support, protect the site, or comply with law, as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. External links

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. A link does not necessarily mean Sepia Jade endorses or controls that site. You use third-party services at your own discretion and subject to their terms.

9. Availability and changes

We may add, update, suspend, or remove site features or content. We do not promise that every feature will always be available or error-free, though we aim to correct problems we learn about.

10. Disclaimers and limits of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that are not expressly stated. Sepia Jade is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of—or inability to use—the site or linked third-party services.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them or from this website are governed by the laws of the State of South Dakota, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any court proceeding must be brought in a state or federal court located in South Dakota, and each party consents to the jurisdiction of those courts, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the website and offerings develop. The updated date at the top will show when changes were made. If a change materially affects a direct purchase or license, the terms presented for that transaction will apply as required by law.
