This Privacy Policy explains how Sepia Jade collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information through sepiajade.com and related communications.
Sepia Jade is a public-facing brand operated as a DBA of Jen Galloway MISM LLC. In this policy, “Sepia Jade,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that business.
Information we collect
Information you choose to provide
- Newsletter information: your email address, subscription status, and preferences when you join Ink & Wonder.
- Messages and inquiries: information you include when you contact us, such as your name, email address, message, and any files you choose to send.
- Privacy requests: information needed to verify and respond to a request to access, correct, or delete personal information.
- Purchase and customer-account information: When you begin or complete a direct purchase, Sepia Jade and its service providers may process your name, email address, billing country and postal code, order contents, purchase amount, transaction status, customer-account and download history, and information needed for support, refunds, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Payment-card and bank-account details are collected and processed by Stripe. Sepia Jade does not receive or store your full payment-card number or card security code. SureCart or Stripe may process information entered during checkout even if you do not complete the purchase.
Information collected automatically
Our website and service providers may automatically process technical information needed to deliver, secure, and maintain the site. This may include an IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages requested, and the date and time of a request.
Newsletter information
Ink & Wonder subscriptions are managed with MailPoet. Depending on the features enabled, MailPoet may record an email address, IP address, signup date, signup source, subscription status, and information about newsletter delivery or engagement, such as opens and link clicks. Subscriber information is stored in the website database, while MailPoet and its service providers may process information needed to send and deliver emails.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- send Ink & Wonder newsletters and requested launch or collection notices;
- confirm subscriptions and manage unsubscribe requests;
- process payments and manage orders, customer accounts, receipts, refunds, disputes, and transaction records;
- deliver purchased files and restore download access when necessary;
- respond to questions, support requests, permissions inquiries, and privacy requests;
- operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the website and checkout;
- prevent spam, fraud, misuse, and security incidents; and
- comply with legal, accounting, and tax obligations and protect our rights.
Legal bases for processing
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on consent for newsletter communications, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website, steps taken at your request before entering a transaction, performance of a contract where applicable, and compliance with legal obligations.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site and its service providers may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for website operation, security, checkout, customer accounts, order sessions, fraud prevention, subscription forms, and newsletter preferences.
SureCart may process technical and usage information needed to operate checkout, customer accounts, orders, and digital delivery. Stripe may collect transaction and device information through cookies and similar technologies to process and authenticate payments, detect and prevent fraud and loss, and analyze the performance of its services. MailPoet may use cookies for form behavior or email-engagement features when those features are enabled.
Sepia Jade does not currently use advertising cookies or a general visitor-analytics service. If that changes, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We may share or allow access to information only as reasonably necessary with:
- website hosting, infrastructure, security, and email providers, including IONOS;
- MailPoet and providers supporting newsletter delivery;
- SureCart and its service providers for checkout, order management, customer accounts, notifications, storage, and digital fulfillment;
- Stripe, financial institutions, card networks, and other payment-method providers as necessary to process or authenticate transactions, prevent fraud, issue refunds, and handle disputes;
- professional advisers and contractors who need the information to perform services for us and are expected to protect it;
- government authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security; and
- a successor organization in connection with a merger, reorganization, sale, or transfer of the business, subject to appropriate protections.
Payments and purchases
Direct purchases made through sepiajade.com are managed with SureCart. SureCart supports checkout, order records, customer accounts, receipts, notifications, and delivery of purchased digital files. SureCart may collect or retain customer contact details, purchase and order history, payment type and limited payment details, and technical information needed to provide and secure those services.
A SureCart customer account is created using the email address supplied during checkout. The account provides access to order history and purchased downloads.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Depending on the payment method and information provided, Stripe may receive your name, email address, billing information, payment-method information, purchase amount and date, order or product information, IP address, device information, and related transaction data. Stripe uses this information to process and authenticate transactions, prevent fraud and loss, handle refunds and disputes, and operate and improve its services.
Sepia Jade may receive transaction status, purchase amount and date, order details, payment type, limited card information such as the card brand and last four digits, and information concerning refunds, disputes, or transaction risk. Sepia Jade does not receive or store your full payment-card number or card security code.

Purchases completed through Amazon, Google Books, Etsy, or another retailer are also governed by that retailer’s privacy practices.
International processing
Some service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for those transfers.
How long we keep information
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy.
Purchase and customer-account records may be retained as necessary to fulfill orders, preserve download access, provide support, process refunds or disputes, maintain accounting and tax records, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations.
Newsletter information is retained while a subscription remains active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed to maintain unsubscribe and compliance records.
Your choices and privacy rights
You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an Ink & Wonder message. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, or object to or restrict certain processing where applicable.
To make a request, email info@sepiajade.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Your rights may vary depending on where you live, and some information may be retained when required by law.
Children’s privacy
Sepia Jade is a general-audience website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Third-party links
The website may link to retailers, social platforms, and other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website, services, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will identify the current version.
